AT&T hi-speed dsl ???????????????

What’s hi speed about it if the network is down??

I switched from earthlink dial up to bellsouth hi speed dsl earlier this year…in the 7 years that I was an earthlink customer I NEVER got bumped offline and never had downtime without an email announcement.

I am beginning not to like bellsouth [at&t] In the past 5 days I have lost more than 3 days of NOT being able to access the internet with very little in the way of an explanation or compensation for my time/money.

2 Missing Boys Found

Encased in Lake Ice

Published: 4/2/07, 9:05 AM EDT
By PATRICK CONDON

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Four months after two young brothers disappeared while playing outside their home on the Red Lake Indian Reservation, a volunteer search party spotted their tiny bodies encased in the ice of First Thunders Lake.

“Our worst fears were confirmed,” FBI Special Agent Ralph Boelter said, announcing that the boys’ bodies had been found about a half-mile from their home.

Police dogs picked up the scent of Tristan Anthony White, 4, and Avery Lee Stately, 2, on Sunday, the first day of searching after the weather warmed, Boelter said. Authorities have not determined whether foul play was involved.

The two boys, both American Indian, disappeared on Nov. 22. from their home in a remote area near the Canadian border.

Divers searched First Thunders Lake shortly after the brothers were reported missing, and hundreds of volunteers and law enforcement officers scoured the area, but they found no sign of the boys.

The initial ground search was called off after five days. Boelter said rescuers resumed on Sunday in hopes the warmer weather would help the search.

One theory is that the boys wandered away to the southern edge of the lake, then walked across the partially frozen water before falling through the ice, Boelter said.

The boys’ mother, Alicia White, and Avery’s father, Jeff Stately, feared the children had been abducted.

Authorities plan to conduct autopsies on the boys in the coming days to help determine what happened.

“I’m grateful that we found the bodies,” Boelter said. “Obviously it’s very tragic for the families involved as well as the Red Lake Community.”

I just want to scream

I just want to scream or cry or run around like a crazy person ripping my hair out of my head. My right leg hurts so bad, I can’t even sleep.

The pain meds they gave me don’t do shit!

I feel like my knee is just going to crumble and I will be stuck wherever I happen to fall until someone comes home and finds me.

So I just don’t much feel like writing today…so I won’t

Hell week OR Driving to Durham

Okay…

The plan was to be ready to leave Wilmington by 5:30PM. We had a room reserved at the Red Roof Inn [because they allow pets and we HAD to take the puppy with us! LOOOONG story]

At 4PM my daughter called, she was ready to be picked up at school. So I harness and leash the puppy and go out to the car, my keys and wallet in one hand, leash and puppy in the other.

There is a young lady walking her ‘skittish’ pit bull. I hurry to get the puppy into the car, unlock front door so I can unlock the back door to put the puppy in the car. Set keys and wallet on the front seat.Close the front door. Put the puppy in the back seat. Close the door.

Say OH SHIT as I realize I just locked my self out of the car and locked the puppy in. CRAP! I actually attempted to get the dog to step on the button that would unlock the door, I probably wasted a good 15 minutes doing this.

Girl with pitbull comes by again. Offers to let me use her cellphone.

WELL, It’s the least she could do!!

I call my daughter’s cellphone and get her voice mail. Leave her a message…locked dog and keys in car…blah, blah, blah….stuck in driveway…blahblah,blah…..call Dad at work….blah, blah, blah…..see you when you get here….blah, blah, blah

Thank girl with stupid dog.

Another 20 minutes goes by, still bribing dog to step on button, wondering if any of my creepy neighbors are secretly peepeing at me and laughing their asses off.

Daughters shows up, got ride from friend’s Mom….who is now parked at the end of my driveway asking if there is anything she can do to help and knowing I will be the #1 topic of conversation at their dinner table tonight.

“Oh HAHA Let me tell you what Erica’s stupid-ass Mom did today HaHa!!!”

Call Greg at work…he says, “well, I am leaving here in about 10 minutes and it takes a good half hour to drive home and IT IS Friday afternoon rush hour in downtown Wilmington…so I’ll see you when I get there!”

Did I tell you it was freakin’ cold out and windy!!!

Another 45 minutes goes by, spent listening to my daughter complain about how cold it is and for the 50th time hearing her say

“I can’t believe YOU LOCKED THE DOG IN THE CAR!!!!!”

Finally Greg shows up and unlocks my car. YAY!! The poor innocent puppy is saved!!

What about the poor freezing-her-ass-off MOMMY!??

So now we go inside. Luckily I am already packed. And I packed for the dog too. Greg is packed, he packed 3 days ago. He’s just like that, I don’t have enough time to explain. Erica hasn’t even thought about packing, so she is just throwing a bunch of crap into a suitcase.

We are still on schedule and leave around 5:30PM

It’s 300 miles to Durham.

How many times did I have to listen to them mocking me for locking the poor dog in the car??? I stopped counting after 10!!

The motel sucked, the bed sucked, the pillows sucked, the dog barked at every little sound, I finally fell asleep at 4AM so I could wake up at 6AM!!

The shower was awesome.

And I was very glad to be back home at 6PM on Saturday

Spent all day Sunday in bed. MS makes you very tired and if you use up your reserves, you sleep, you don’t even get to decide if you want to sleep or not…your body just does it.

A lot has happened since my last post.

We drove 600 miles to take our 16 years old daughter to Discovery Day at The North Carolina School Of Science and Math. It is a boarding school in Durham NC

Before you get your knickers in a bunch

It is a FREE boarding school, payed for by donations and grants and benefactors.

We wait now ’til April 13th to see if she has been invited to attend.

We are all very hopeful that she will be able to go there. It is an awesome opportunity for her future/college/career.
