Ambiguity Rules

About Me/My Family

My name is Sharon. I am 47 yrs old, married to Greg, who is also my best friend. We have 3 daughters, all beautiful and smart. [ages 25, 21 and 16] Just our youngest lives at home with us now. Her name is Erica and she is an awesome young person. We just finished the application process for her to attend boarding school for her Jr and Sr years of High School We should find out in the next few weeks if she’s been accepted.

At first we were nervous with the idea of her living on campus away from home at such a young age. But she is mature and responsible and we think she can handle it. Also it is an awesome opportunity for her, one we should take advantage of.

Our 21 yr old daughter has recently distanced herself from us in order to be independent and find herself. It’s tough going from being a child to being an adult, and we all go about achieving this in our own way. Our parents may not always agree with our methods, but once you are 21 you are responsible for yourself and no longer ‘have to‘ listen to your parents, some of us take this literally and to the extreme.

Our oldest daughter is married and has an almost 3 year old daughter. That would be Emily [Emmy] our granddaughter. Nothing makes us happier than a picture of Emmy!! Proud, bragging grandparents are we!! Just look at her, isn’t she sweet??

Emily

We absolutely adore her. Our eldest child Kate is married to Adam, he served in the Iraq war, then came home to be a cop. We love Adam too! And we are very proud to call him our son-in-law.

I am the 5th of 7 children. I have 4 older sisters and 2 younger brothers. My mother still refers to me as her baby girl, I am 47 yrs old. The youngest is Paul he will be 43 this year, right about the same time I celebrate my 48th birthday. In order we are; Susan, Diane, Carol, Nancy, Sharon, David and Paul. Our mother is alive and well, our father passed away in 1997. He had a massive heart attack and died almost instantly. I still think about him most every day, I miss him and I have chats with him quite often, don’t know if he can hear me, but we still chat. I speak with my Mom a few times a week and constantly email my sisters and brothers.

On the flipside, my husband Greg is an only child, he has a few step siblings because there were a lot of marriages with parents and step parents. I think he has 2 step sisters and 3 step brothers. He is not close with any of them and has no contact with them at all. I may have met 2 step brothers and 1 step sister [briefly] many years ago.

His Mom and her 2nd husband have both passed away [cancer] His Dad and his 2nd wife are still alive but in failing health. They live back in Massachusetts.

All of my siblings except my oldest sister Susan live on Cape Cod, where my Mom also lives. Susan and her husband Fred just bought a home in Connecticut. I haven’t seen them for a few years so we are hoping to go up for Christmas ’07. That would be nice.

More about me:

I am a Gemini [June 20] I have blue eyes and I am a natural blond. I have light skin with freckles and have had skin cancer [stage 3 squamous cell carcinoma].

I have chronic lyme disease and diabetes [Type2] and I am currently being tested for multiple sclerosis. I have an MRI scheduled on Feb 22/07

I am a published author [I wrote a ferret care book] and I am currently working on 2 book projects…to be discussed at a later date.

I just got a Jack Russell terrier pup from the pound, actually he is Jack Russell and Springer Spaniel mixed, so he looks like a Jack Russell without shorty legs. His legs are much longer. He is 6 months old and his name is Andy. He is full of energy, he loves to run, jump and play. He keeps me busy, although it is sometimes difficult for me to take him for a walk because my legs are too weak from the MS. We try to walk every day anyway, even if it’s just a short 10 minute walk because that’s all I can handle. here is a pic of Andy
